Feb 05, Chilean Fjords sceinic cruising #2

Very early start to the day we were at the Brujo Glacier at 7am once again a lovely morning but a little cooler as it was so early. This glacier was as magnificent as the Tempanos Glacier we viewed yesterday, was a little hard to take pictures as the sun was coming up behind it, the captain turned the ship so both sides could see the glacier. After viewing the glacier it was time for breakfast then went to a talk on what to see and do in the next 2 ports which will be our last ports before heading to Antarctica. We stayed and listened to the expert talk on whales which again was very informative, explaining where and which whales we will see, we should see a lot more species than we first imagined.  The weather changed dramatically just after lunch as we left the fjords and went back out to sea.  Visibility was just about nonexistent and the waves quite high the roughest it has been for the whole cruise. Then it was time for the presentation on Shackleton’s 2 voyages to Antarctica was very interesting. By late afternoon visibility had improved the sky had blue patches again and you could see land, the sea had calmed down. Been a very relaxing day today after dinner we went to the variety show in the show room and watched the comedian and also the flutist again was another great show then a cup of tea and off to bed as tomorrow we will be in Punta Arenas for the day and will be the first time we have not had to be tendered into port.
